Pleasure Party

During the shooting of the film Barry Lyndon (1975), the challenge was to realistically recreate the atmosphere of the period. By striving for an exclusive use of candlelight, the film possesses a patina to which it owes its place on the list of cinematographic masterpieces. In order to film in such conditions, Kubrick used a ZEISS lens developed by NASA. This scientific processing of the image reconstructs the nights laden with the sensuality of an 18th century château with great plausibility.
